Ah, since there were less of them (the authors) than of us (the readers), the authors were divided up into panels and went to each of the four rooms and confronted, ah, I mean, spoke with small groups of readers.
| Jo Beverley and Stephanie Mittman consult
on the answer to one of the intriguing questions raised by a reader (or
two).
Actually, since I was not in this group of readers, I am simply supposing. But when Jo, Stephanie, Mary Jo came to our group, it was fascinating to hear and be part of the give and take between the readers and the writers. Wonderful stuff!!! |

Deb Simmons explains some deep mystery
about the romance writing business.
Ah, again, I missed this discussion, but she was so articulate during the group's visit with my group. Of course, we were in a smaller room and it was getting hotter and hotter. Had to turn the noisy air conditioner on before I melted! Yes, I am from Texas now, and I LOVE my air conditioner! |
| Barb Sheridan and Terri Brisban listen
intently as "that Malvey woman" enthuses over the support her publisher
has given her.
I understand that there was some kind of plotting that developed as the afternoon wore on. They were all part of the New Authors' Panel. Fascinating to watch the interaction between the different factions!!! You know if you look closely you will notice that Terri is going for a knife. Hmm... |

Did I mention that eating was important
to the conference attendees?
Sure this is a slightly embarassing picture, but blame Leslie for taking it!!! Lori Foster and Nikoo McGoldrick enjoy a bite while fielding questions! No rest for the hungry! |
| Sandra Hill, Tracy Fobes, and Miranda
Jarrett enjoy interaction with attendees.
Sandra provided interesting data about the number of strokes... I blush to continue here. Go GET HER BOOKS and READ THEM!!! |

McGoldrick. Funny and interesting. He is a professor of history. Go figure
<G>.

| Mary Jo Putney, Catherine Asaro and Miranda
Jerrott finish off their coffee before asked for their autographs. See,
you drain them of information, then you get their signatures!!
Just three more classy ladies! |

Shirley Hailstock, Mariah Stewart and
Katie Ross ponder and take notes on some insights raised by readers.
The panels were really fun for both readers and authors, honest they were! |
