I'm SURE you have had impressions by now from the group that went to CR99. Impressions? did I say impressions? Now THERE was a group to impress anyone! I haven't made it though my email yet, so wanted to give you a fresh view without reading theirs. I made you a little diary so you could share, cause I don't think I have been anywhere in a good many years that I haven't had an adventure with my traveling.
Seems to follow me around!!

Thurs.- Started out as a perfectly normal day, really it did. Got up about 6 to finish packing. Made my son get up and pack the car - " I " wasn't going to carry all those books!! Went to the base to get my blood test and took off to Ft. Walton (about 50 miles away) to catch the plane at 10:30. Plenty of time even for the going to work traffic.

NOT SO. There was an accident slap dab in front of me about 20 miles away from the airport. Guy pulling out of a shopping center - I was trapped - couldn't get out!! Told the policeman I was in a hurry, my plane left VERY soon. No go. Wouldn't let me go around!. Got to the airport - just as my flight was leaving! No more flights until 7:30 that night! Went to Delta - sure we have a flight - one way cost you $600!! No WAY. Waited NINE hours at the airport for the next flight. Called my daughter and told her to call the hotel ( I didn't carry the number with me) and tell them I would be on another flight.

Made the next flight just fine - guess who was first in line?? Made the Connection at Atlanta just fine and on to Philly. Last flight in for that terminal. OK, I am slow, I walk with a cane - it is to be expected! By the time I got to the baggage area they were closing that terminal!! Asked me to leave, please. Never heard of the Westin, never saw a shuttle from them. BIG DEAL so what. I made them call till they found someone anyway. Only took them about 15 min to get there.

FIRST QMC sighting was Sweetpea.
Course at 1:30 in the morning I didn't expect anyone to be up anyway, but she was and waiting for me. She was great, so I waited until she had clothes on the next morning to take the picture of my first QMCer!!!

Talked to about 2:30 and had to get up at 6:30 for Amish trip.
